Impressions from the reading life

Tausend strahlende Sonnen - Michael Windgassen, Khaled Hosseini I enjoyed this book - if one may say so. There is a lot of violence and war. But it gave me an insight into Afghan history and culture. Maybe a bit too much of the dark sides, but for a tenderfoot on Afghan grounds good.
Apart from the factual basis, the main female characters are likeable, the narration is everything but hard to follow, here and there Afghan words are interspersed and create the right atmosphere.
